Official Announcement: Submission of the Final Report by the Advisory Committee on Quebec's Constitutional Issues
On November 26, 2024, the Advisory Committee on Quebec's Constitutional Issues within the Canadian federation submitted its final report.
The Committee, co-chaired by Me Guillaume Rousseau, lawyer and full professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Sherbrooke, and Me Sébastien Proulx, partner at GBV Avocats, former Minister of Education, Recreation and Sports, and former Minister of Family, was mandated to recommend measures to the government aimed at protecting and promoting the collective rights of the Quebec nation. These measures are intended to ensure the respect of Quebec’s distinct social values and identity, guarantee the respect of Quebec’s areas of jurisdiction, and enhance its autonomy within the Canadian federation.
GBV Avocats particularly highlights the contribution of Me Sébastien Proulx to this collective reflection exercise.
The firm supports the participation of its members in initiatives that shape the future of our society and encourages their involvement as committed contributors to their community.
