Nicolas Rioux

Constitutional law
After completing a Bachelor of Laws and a Master’s degree in Constitutional Law at the University of Ottawa, Me Nicolas Rioux completed his articling period with our firm and was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2022. Following a two-year term at the Quebec Court of Appeal as a research lawyer for the judiciary, he rejoined the firm in 2025, where he has since been practicing within our Research Group.

Passionate about public law, Me Rioux also completed doctoral coursework in Constitutional Law at Université Laval. In recent years, he has published several articles in legal journals as well as a chapter in the Jurisclasseur Québec on Constitutional Law. In his spare time, he is currently working on a book focusing on section 12 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, scheduled for publication in 2027–2028.

A trained guitarist and bassist, Me Rioux is also active in the cultural scene, performing with various local music groups.
